You don't really need The Dikler to tell you that there has not been much rain around over the past few weeks.

The Dikler’s garden is looking a little unloved and underwhelming, while trainers up and down the country are struggling to find opportunities to run any of their horses who want ground that is anything other than good to firm or firmer.

So desperate has the situation become, some trainers are going to extreme lengths to find ground with any ease in it.
