Sir Michael Stoute will be without a runner in the world's oldest Classic at Doncaster on September 10 after withdrawing the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes winner, who had finished third in the Group 2 Betway Great Voltigeur Stakes at York last week and was a 12-1 chance with the sponsors.
Bruce Raymond, racing manager to Saeed Suhail, owner of Across The Stars, said: "Across The Stars ran well under a penalty at York but Frankie Dettori got off afterwards and said he didn't think he would get the Leger trip so we may look for something over shorter."
