Charlie Bennett, Apprentice The Derby picture is still a bit blurred. Aidan O’Brien seems to have a pretty good grip on it but we don’t know if Churchill will run. If he turns up the 2,000 Guineas form is still the best Derby trial but I wouldn’t want to make a judgement until that decision is made and before the Dante is run on Thursday.
Frank Hickey, Paddy Power odds compiler I wouldn’t be a fan of the Lingfield trial form and would struggle to see Best Solution being involved. Venice Beach and Cliffs Of Moher supplied positives with their performances at Chester but would need to step up a fair bit to win a Derby, although that is entirely possible considering their connections.
