Mabs Cross, who landed her first Group 1 on Sunday with a thrilling last-gasp success in Longchamp’s Prix de l’Abbaye, is unlikely to run again this year.

The Michael Dods-trained filly has an entry in the Qipco British Champions Sprint at Ascot on Saturday week, but connections do not wish to step her back up to six furlongs.

“She got back home last night and is out in the field today,” Dods said on Tuesday. “She’s absolutely fine. I’m pretty certain that will be it for the season.
