Racehorse Owners Association (ROA) president Charlie Parker has led a robust defence of its industry ownership strategy and of chief executive Charlie Liverton as the organisation came in for further criticism from owners on Wednesday.

Classic-winning owner Phil Cunningham said the ROA would have been better off putting £500 behind a bar and talking to experienced horsemen rather than spending the £1.2 million that the strategy has cost so far.
