EBF Stallions John Musker Fillies' Stakes |Listed | 1m2f | 3yo+ | SKY

Why is it interesting?

The last three winners of this £50,000 prize went on to land a Group or Graded contest, with last year's Sheikha Reika striking at the highest level on her next start at Woodbine in October.

Fanny Logan has already competed against some of the best of her sex for trainer John Gosden, finishing ninth behind Irish Oaks winner and stablemate Star Catcher in the Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes.

Following victories at York and Salisbury, Fanny Logan bids for a hat-trick of Listed wins in Yarmouth's feature race of the season, while many of her rivals are out to capitalise on one of the final opportunities to gain black type this campaign.

What do the stats say?

Roger Varian has won this race in three of the last five years, scoring with Hadaatha in 2014, Talmada the following year, and Sheikha Reika last season. He saddles Tauteke this time.

Joseph O'Brien has had few runners in Britain during the last five seasons away from Ascot, but breaks new ground with Cnoc An Oir and Snapraeceps, his first two runners at Yarmouth.

What do the trainers say?

John Gosden, trainer of Fanny Logan
She won nicely last time but a 3lb penalty and a wide draw won't make it easy for her. They get a good run along the back straight so hopefully she can drop in.

Michael Bell, trainer of Bighearted
She's been freshened up with a view to stepping in grade and it's well worth a try in Listed company after a productive summer in handicaps. She should have a good autumn campaign.

Joseph O'Brien, trainer of Cnoc An Oir and Snapraeceps
They are well-bred fillies and are reaching a level where they need black type. They ran nice races last time and this race is not quite as competitive. The trip is slightly further for them but they should be fine as they are straightforward.

Charlie Fellowes, trainer of Maid For Life
She has improved all year and again for the step up to ten furlongs. She should like the track and hopefully we can get her some black type.

George Scott, trainer of Moll Davis
She was unlucky at Glorious Goodwood and would have stepped up in class sooner had she won. She put it right at Doncaster and is really progressive. I've been pleased with her work at home and there's no reason she can't run a big race.

Peter Chapple-Hyam, trainer of Sh Boom
She's in good form at home and will like the ground. We're trying to get some black type like everyone else but it will be tough.
