2022 Glorious Goodwood tips: Tuesday's best bets from our Racing Post experts

Day one of Glorious Goodwood is here - but who do our top tipsters fancy most?

Sacred

By Robbie Wilders

Race: 3.00 Goodwood (Lennox Stakes)

Odds: 15-8

The 24-runner Platinum Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot was as competitive a Group 1 as you are likely to see, and Sacred shaped well when beaten only a length into fifth in a bunched finish on her seasonal return.

She faces an extra furlong in the Lennox Stakes but that will present no issues around here, and this is a clear drop in class for a filly who has trained on and looks destined to tackle top-level prizes again in the near future.

Kyprios

By Kevin Morley

Race:3.35 Goodwood (Goodwood Cup)

Odds: 13-8

Trueshan won this last year but on ground much softer than is likely here and it is hard to believe he has the edge adjusted RPRs suggest he has thanks to his Northumberland Plate success under a big weight.

Stradivarius used to rule the staying roost, but he has proved vulnerable at the highest level for a while now and Kyprios, who had his measure in the Ascot Gold Cup last time, is taken to come out on top again.

Night On Earth

By Paul Kealy

Race: 4.10 Goodwood (Nicholson Gin Handicap)

Odds: 9-1

He's a bigger price than your average 'banker' but I think Night On Earth has so much going for him that he has to be backed.

He showed a strong sign of coming back to form last time, is well treated on his early-season efforts, has a decent draw near the rail and has a good and in-form claimer on board.
