Pinatubo

A renewal that revolves around last season's crack juvenile PINATUBO, who was awarded the highest official rating for a 2yo for 25 years after a 9l romp in the Group 1 National Stakes last September and will be very hard to beat if resuming at that level. It's eight months on since his Dewhurst win and plenty of star juveniles have fallen by the wayside as 3yos but Pinatubo really was flawless last year and a good way clear of anything else in this field, so he has to be the call. Old rival Arizona is next best, ahead of the selection's stablemate Al Suhail, a good 2yo and who on breeding could be better again this year. Kameko, Wichita and the unbeaten Military March are others to consider.
