Wolverhampton Placepot: Richard Birch with his perm for the evening fixture

Sky Lake, who finished a creditable second on her first start for Kevin Philippart De Foy, has a solid chance of going one better in leg one (5.30) of the Wolverhampton Placepot.

Fairly treated Mykonos St John, an impressive Windsor winner last July, also rates a major player if ready to rock ‘n roll after a 158-day absence.

He’s been gelded over the winter, and Saffie Osborne’s 7lb claim is a huge plus.

Zumaaty holds all the aces in leg two (6.00) following his Brighton second last Tuesday. This will be only his second start in handicaps.

Devil’s Cub, a consistent sort who may be sharpened by first-time blinkers, should also be included.

Get It, fourth in the Windsor Castle Stakes last June, rates banker material in leg three (6.30), while similar comments apply to Dan De Light, who can follow up a Southwell win off just a 4lb higher mark in leg four (7.00).

Imajorblush has been knocking on the door lately, and it can finally open in leg five (7.30).

The unraced Cheveley Park Stud filly, Angel’s Kiss, is one for leg six (8.00), in addition to well-drawn Heavenly Rose, who was not beaten far on her Newbury debut.
