Wolverhampton Placepot picks: Graeme Rodway with his perm for the £100,000 pool
The £100,000 Placepot guarantee is at Wolverhampton and that’s the place to play the bet.
The opening 1m1½f handicap (3.45) looks like a good opportunity for Unplugged and he is one of my best bets of the day. Trust top amateur Serena Brotherton to get him in the places.
There are some interesting contenders in the 1m½f novice (4.15), headed by the Charlie Appleby-trained newcomer First Sight. He is by Dubawi and should be capable of being placed.
The 1m6f handicap (4.45) looks incredibly tricky. It might be worth sticking with the consistent stayers in the line-up and makes most appeal. Sicario is next best.
The 5f handicap (5.15) is another difficult one. Jupiter Express is well handicapped on his debut for Mick Appleby and could take a big step forward. Kim Wexler is the alternative.
Young Fire is one of my main fancies of the day in the 1m½f handicap (5.45) and rates banker material, while Mr Inspiration is an interesting debutant in the 1m½f novice (6.15).
