Wolverhampton Placepot picks: Graeme Rodway tackles the £100,000 guaranteed pool

The Tote are putting up a £100,000 guarantee at Wolverhampton for the Placepot and the opening 1m1½f nursery (5.00) looks like a good race for a banker. Attrazionehas been placed on her last four starts and is 1lb well in under a penalty for last week’s Southwell win.

There are only five declared for the 5f novice (5.30) and it’s worth opposing the likely favourite Fine Balance, who has been off since May. Mimosetand Em Jay Kay appeal most.

Cailin Saoirse is going for a course-and-distance hat-trick in division one of the 7f handicap (6.00) and must be included. However, it’s also worth putting River Chorus in the perm.

The second division (6.30) is another wide-open race. The in-form Divine Connection should be hard to keep out of the places, but Brave Display should be included as back-up.

Big Time Maybe looks the solid option in the 6f handicap (7.00) and Viewfromthestars is next best, while in the final leg (7.30) the in-form Muscika should be in the places.
