Newmarket: Anthony Burke

Red Verdon (6.40 Kempton, nap)

Yet to win in 2017 but has posted some solid efforts in defeat most notably earlier this month when runner up over course and distance. He was arguably a touch unlucky on that occasion and if getting the breaks here could be hard to beat.

Others to follow
Kempton: 4.10 Grecian Spirit, 4.40 Sir Commander, 5.10 Monadee, 5.40 Arnarson, 6.10 Double Up, 7.10 The Gay Cavalier, 7.40 Linda Doris.
Wolverhampton: 12.15 Gustavo Fling, 12.45 Expelled, 1.15 West Palm Beach, 1.45 Ghanimah, 2.20 Seniority, 2.50 Spinning Melody, 3.25 Absolutely Awesome, 3.55 Alaskan Bay.

Lambourn: James Burn

Peculiar Places (3.45 Hereford, nap)

Warren Greatrex – whose yard is going well – has a healthy strike-rate at this venue and thinks plenty of this summer arrival, who was a solid second in a bumper in the spring.

Others to follow
Hereford: 12.35 Kings Tempest, 1.05 Court Liability, 3.15 Thomas Blossom.
Kempton: 4.40 Desert Doctor, 6.10 Reckless Endeavour, 6.40 Mountain Bell, 7.10 Sky Eagle.
Wetherby: 12.25 Doctor Bartolo, 12.55 Three Ways, 1.25 Jersey Bean.
Wolverhampton: 12.15 De Little Engine, 12.45 Zapateado, 1.15 Dance Me, 3.25 Spin Top, 3.55 Jazz Affair.

West Country: Tim Mitchell

Hoola Hula (3.15 Hereford, nap)

Has shown promise in bumpers and on debut over hurdles. Not so good since but looked in need of recent return and, with that run under her belt, she can go close off a workable mark now switching to handicaps.

Others to follow
Hereford: 12.35 Sydney De Baune, 1.35 Bear Spirit, 2.10 Roll The Dough, 3.45 Irish Prince.

North: Colin Russell

Reverand Cust (2.30 Wetherby, nap)

Progressive novice last season who ran as though needing the race over C&D on his return to action earlier this month. On a fair mark and fancied to do a great deal better this time.

Others to follow
Kempton: 5.40 Geoff Potts, 6.10 Out Do, 7.10 Never A Word, 7.40 Cookie Ring.
Wetherby: 12.25 Satis House, 12.55 Secrete Stream, 1.25 Fin And Game, 2.00 Never Up, 3.05 Harrisons Promise, 3.35 Sammamish.
Wolverhampton: 12.45 Salire, 1.15 Marie Toulouse, 2.20 Rainbow Rebel, 2.50 Omotesando, 3.25 Point North, 3.55 Lady Lintera.

Racing Post Ratings: Steve Mason

Court Liability (1.05 Hereford, nap)

He followed up a winning rules debut in a Fontwell bumper with success over hurdles at Sedgefield and can defy a penalty in an ordinary looking novice hurdle.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Katabatika (7.10 Kempton)

Scored convincingly over trip and track in October but a beaten favourite here eight days later. A slow pace contributed to her reversal and losses can be recouped.

Longshot: Ed Quigley

Way Of The World (3.15 Hereford)

Lost his way in recent times, but won on his only start over course and distance and can't be ruled out off his current mark.

Ireland: Tony O'Hehir

Paloma Blue (12.20 Punchestown)

A smart performer in bumpers last season when he won at Fairyhouse before chasing Fayonagh home in a Grade 1 at the Punchestown festival, the Henry de Bromhead-trained five-year-old finished third behind Next Destination over 2m3f on his hurdling debut at Naas 18 days ago. Today's 2m event looks a lesser race and, if he has brushed up his jumping, Davy Russell's mount can prove the pick.
