What they say: 'I hope the trial will be a rekindling day for him'

Secret Reprieve: will bid to put himself back in the Welsh National reckoning this Saturday

Dan Skelton, trainer of Knight In Dubai and Ashtown Lad
Both are to run this weekend at Aintree and we'll see how that goes before we decide about Chepstow. Knight In Dubai has always shaped as if he wants a trip so is interesting. Ashtown Lad is also in good form but would not run at Chepstow if it was bottomless.

Evan Williams, trainer of Secret Reprieve
He's not necessarily on course for it but I'd like to run him in the trial on Saturday. He's been very disappointing since he won the race in 2020, but he likes it around Chepstow and I hope the trial will be a rekindling day for him. I'm not hell-bent on going there, I need to see him get back to form before I start making any bold predictions.

Gary Moore, trainer of Full Back and Movethechains
Movethechains has been doing well. He's a horse who needs it soft and we've been waiting for the ground. The trip wouldn't hold any fears, but it's whether he can get in off his current mark – he'd need another run. Full Back was very disappointing last time at Fontwell, but I'm hoping it's the nature of the track. He'd go straight there, soft ground would be his cup of tree and the trip should be fine.
