Mares' Hurdle

We'll make a plan after she runs at Haydock on Saturday. I've also got her in the Stayers' Hurdle in case it cuts up, but at the moment there's a handful of good horses who would be very hard for her to compete with.

She's in great order. She's had a lovely break since Sandown, where she had a tough race, and did her first bit of work since then on Saturday. She's bang on target and we're really looking forward to it. She's a star and it's very exciting for a small yard like ours.

She found it a bit sharp at Warwick last Saturday, where they didn't go a great gallop. She needs a bit further now and it also depends on the ground as we didn't run her in the Mares' Hurdle two years ago as it was very soft ground, but by the Friday when she won the Martin Pipe it was decent for her. She'll be declared at the five-day stage for the mares' race, but it may be that she goes for the Stayers' Hurdle instead.
