West Coast Flyer one to rely on with longer trip expected to suit

South Seas 2.40 Haydock
SP forecast 8-13
Expensive purchase who was well supported before his debut in a 6f maiden at Windsor and justified 7-4 favouritism in some style. Andrew Balding’s colt bolted up by eight lengths and appeared to relish the soft going. That form has taken some knocks, but this ground will suit and he is an exciting prospect.
Conclusion From a yard whose runners usually improve for their debut and banker material.

West Coast Flyer 4.25 Haydock
SP forecast 13-8
Improved for the step up to 1m4f when landing a Wolverhampton maiden in February and came back from a break with a good third on his debut on turf at Doncaster last month. He built on that when landing a 1m4½f classified race at Newcastle last time and should improve now upped to 1m6f for the first time.
Conclusion Progressive stayer who looks well treated. Banker.
