Coneygree(3.15 Wetherby, nap)

The 2015 Gold Cup hero ran well without winning on both starts last season and should prove hard to peg back in a race in which the weights are very much in his favour.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Song Light(3.00 Ascot)

Refused to race on his last start over hurdles in May but has since won convincingly on the Flat. It may pay to keep the faith on his return to jumping.

Longshot: Ed Quigley

Fountains Windfall(2.40 Wetherby)

Unexposed sort who was last seen pulverising the opposition in an Aintree handicap in April. Needs to up his game once more but looks an exciting prospect.

Ireland: Tony O'Hehir

Tower Bridge (1.20 Down Royal)

The Joseph O'Brien-trained four-year-old created a big impression when easily landing bumpers at Ballinrobe and Bellewstown during the summer, and he gets the vote to make a successful start over hurdles with Barry Geraghty on board.
