He's 0-19 since completing a quickfire hat-trick last summer but, in the words of the American baseball legend Yogi Berra, it could be a case of "Deja Vu all over again" on an AW-dominated card at Sha Tin this Sunday.

Hong Kong handicappers don't take kindly to winners who rattle up a sequence and Deja Vu simply wasn't good enough to defy a mark in the 70s.

A gradual slide sees him back to a mark of 60 – 8lb lower than the one he last won from – and the courage he showed when pipped here last month makes him fair value at 4-1 or better in the Carnarvon Handicap (7.00).

British punters will be well aware of how quirky and talented Limitless was during his Royal Ascot-winning days as Defrocked for Jamie Osborne last year and both sides of his character have been in evidence during his Hong Kong career.

However, new trainer Caspar Fownes feels Limitless is finally beginning to relax and settle into a more professional mode both in his work and in races.

That view will be fully tested in the Nathan Handicap (9.10) but the likelihood of a furious gallop and the presence of Joao Moreira in the irons for the first time makes this mercurial customer worth one more chance at around 6-1.

Early risers might find the progressive Win Beauty Win worth a second look in the Granville Handicap (6.00), while slightly more patient tactics could make the freewheeling Winningli hard to catch in the Hankow Handicap (6.30).

However, you need to be a strong stayer to get through a marathon 10-race Sha Tin programme.

The great Yogi also said, "it ain't over till it's over" and the progressive Super Hoppy has shown more than enough promise to suggest he can be a leading player in the closing Salisbury Handicap at 9.45.
