1pt winIt's 'National' time again with the Higos Insurance Services Devon National Handicap Chase (3.50) taking centre stage at Exeter this afternoon and it promises to be a real slog with 16 runners over the demanding 3m6½f trip.

Jonjo O'Neill has been the go to man for this race in recent years with three winners since 2009, with his most famous scorer being former Welsh National hero Mini Sensation, who caused something of a sensation when winning in 2004.

Then an 11-year-old, Mini Sensation had long since lost interest in racing and it needed a vintage Tony McCoy ride just to keep him within a furlong of the leaders on the final circuit, but one by one his rivals started to falter in the straight and somehow he arrived at the last to take it up and win going away, defying in-running odds of 1,000 on Betfair.
