NikeandnemesisTrainer: Willie McCreery
6th, 6f two-year-old maiden, Fairyhouse, June 15
This daughter of first-season sire Xtension, a dual Group 1 winner in Hong Kong, made her debut in a useful-looking Fairyhouse maiden which should produce a few winners.

Nikeandnemesis lost around 12 lengths coming out of the gate and could never get a position as a result, but she came home quite strongly to be beaten ten and a half lengths and is sure to have learned a lot from this experience. She is quite stoutly bred on the dam's side, coming from a good Aga Khan family, but for now there does not seem to be a need to go up radically in trip.

Michael O'Callaghan
4th, 7f two-year-old maiden, Cork, June 17
This daughter of Showcasing has had two runs and is interesting as she was a shade unlucky on her second run at Cork. Racing handily, she looked to be coming to challenge when she got quite a hefty bump from the winner more than a furlong out and then a lesser one a few strides later which affected her momentum quite badly.

However, she came home well in the last 100 yards and was the only horse to actually close on the winner. Seven furlongs would seem to be a good trip for her and there seems little doubt she has the ability to win a race or two in the near future.

Dermot Weld
4th, 7f maiden, Naas, June 18
The time taken with this stoutly bred daughter of Redoute's Choice looks likely to pay dividends as she shaped nicely at a trip likely to be well short of her best.
