Warwick Placepot picks: Tom Segal has three bankers in his perm

Pilsdon Pen and Lac De Constance appear to be Placepot bankers in the first two races on the Warwick card but things get trickier after that.

All five runners in the EBF Mares' Novices' Chase (2.45) can be given a chance, so it's best to include a couple and Galice Macalo and Precious Eleanor might be the safest choices.

The best and most competitive race is the handicap chase over a marathon trip (3.55) and last year's winner Volcano can race off a 15lb lower mark this time and has to be included. He's been out of form but he's 3-3 at the track.

It's hard to bank on Volcano given his poor recent form, however, so include Eclair De Guye, who couldn't handle the heavy ground at Lingfield last time but is well handicapped on his third at Sandown from the start of the season.

Guillemot was impressive after a wind operation at Ascot last time and should have more to offer in the Micky Boughey, Cobblers To 'Em All Handicap Hurdle (3.20). Provided all eight intended runners line up, he can be banked on.

The concluding race, the Watch On Racing TV Handicap Hurdle (4.30), is wide open. is thrown in on old form and shaped better last time. He has to go in any perm, while could improve for the better ground and is pretty consistent.
