'Waiting Patiently is absolutely bouncing. I couldn’t be happier with him'

Nicky Henderson, trainer of Might Bite and Top Notch
Might Bite is in great form. He starts schooling again on Thursday and we’ll build up his confidence after what happened at Haydock in the Betfair Chase. We’re looking forward to the King George, he had a fantastic win in the race last year. Top Notch had a wonderful campaign last year, winning the 1965 Chase, the Peterborough, and ending with victory in the Oaksey Chase at Sandown. He hasn’t been out yet this season but still holds a Kempton entry.

Ruth Jefferson, trainer of Waiting Patiently
He's absolutely bouncing. I couldn’t be happier with him. He has entries at Leopardstown over Christmas too, but the King George is Plan A and Ireland Plan B. Fingers crossed they get some rain at Kempton.

Garth Broom, owner of Native River
He seems absolutely fine and came out of the Betfair Chase well. It’s all systems go for Kempton. The ground was plenty fast enough for him at Haydock – it was safe ground, but not ideal for him. I thought he coped pretty well. He finished third round Kempton in the Feltham, but we didn’t know how to ride him then and he's improved hand over fist since. Kempton might not play to his strengths as much as Cheltenham, but I’m expecting a good run and maybe he will surprise several people.
