US racing tips: Tom Collins looks to back up last week's runaway 9-2 winner

Tourist's Dream
8.53 Woodbine
2pts win

Not So Quiet
9.24 Woodbine
1pt win

Following the end of Saratoga's summer meet on Monday, US racing fans are in the midst of a ten-day hiatus before New York racing returns to Belmont Park next week.

As a result, my focus is switched to Woodbine for a competitive and rich ten-race card that features the Grade 3 Seagram Cup. However, with Mighty Heart likely to make all at a short price, it's worth scouring the undercard for better punting opportunities.

The best bet on the card is Tourist's Dream, who represents leading trainer Mark Casse in the $48,300 maiden optional claimer (8.53), which is run over 6½f on the spectacular turf course.

The Gary Barber-owned gelding ran a fair race on his three-year-old reappearance after an eight-month absence in July, railing well to take third after an awkward start, and built on that with a solid fourth in a better race here last month.

Now primed to win on his third start off a layoff, Tourist's Dream drops in class, has a nice draw in gate three and blinkers are fitted for the first time. Watch out for his late burst.

Casse could record a quickfire double as he saddles Not So Quiet in the following $150,000 Vice Regent Stakes (9.24).

This year's edition of the 5f turf hasn't come up overly hot and Not So Quiet, who denied the reopposing City Boy in this race last year, should be tough to beat after a solid run in the Grade 3 Vigil Stakes.

He was beaten by two of Canada's best sprinters – Souper Stonehenge and Pink Lloyd – that day on the all-weather track and should be favoured by the return to grass.
