US expert Tom Collins hopes that a good draw will enable Sue to score again

Having an inside draw is a huge advantage at Will Rogers Downs and hopefully breaking from gate two will enable Deja Sue to follow up her first career success in the $9,900 claimer (10.15).

There doesn't look to be too much early speed in this 6f contest for fillies and mares and Deja Sue, who made most of the running to win a maiden claimer here three weeks ago, can make a beeline for the rail and record a repeat victory.

Scott E Young, who leads the trainers' standings by a considerable margin, bought this three-year-old filly for $30,000 in October and must have been disappointed with her first two efforts in maiden special weight company.

She posted speed figures of just 26 and 0 in those races and although she was bumped at the start on the second occasion, there weren't many excuses for her.

However, Deja Sue worked well after her second start and showed marked improvement when dropped into maiden claiming company, winning by an impressive eight-and-a-quarter lengths when last seen.

She is obviously stepping up in class now that she takes on previous winners, but she is probably better than this level and a fast start can prove just that.

The opening $8,250 claimer (7.15) on the Will Rogers card looks pretty competitive but there are far worse bets than Producer, a five-time winner who hasn't entered the winner's circle since September last year.

This race is for non-winners of four races or horses who haven't won since November, so Producer is far more prolific than most and his latest drought could well come to an end on just his third start at this venue.

A $90,000 yearling purchase, Producer finished fourth on his first outing here just under three weeks ago and caught the eye with his finishing effort, which saw him pass five rivals in the straight.

Despite being drawn in gate five that day, Producer had to endure a six-wide trip rounding the bend and can be marked up for his effort.

Kept in this grade on his latest start, Producer was fancied in the market before the off and was unlucky to bump into an in-form rival who was backing up a win earlier in the month.

Again, Producer stuck on powerfully over the mile trip and was beaten only half a length at the line after another wide passage through the race.

A similar performance would make him hard to beat in this contest and hopefully rider Samuel Bermudez sticks to an inside passage when making his challenge.

The final tip on the card is Visual Punch, who is ridden by Curtis Kimes in the $20,900 allowance race (8.15).

Trainer Michael Gunter hasn't found the easiest race for this seven-year-old and being drawn in gate seven is far from ideal, but I have to put him up due to a blistering work at this track just eight days ago.

Visual Punch returned from a ten-month layoff to win a similar race to this on April 1, cruising to the line under Kimes, and appears to be in the form of his life given a 47.07sec breeze over four furlongs here last week.

The quickest time posted of 13 horses, Visual Punch fired on all cylinders that morning and that gives hope he can follow up his latest success.
