US expert Tom Collins banks on an ex-Roger Charlton-trained runner at Tampa Bay

Stateside races are always slightly more interesting when they feature ex-English-trained horses, and the $20,000 allowance (8.00) contest on Wednesday's Tampa Bay Downs card has a couple of new US recruits to focus on.
The Chasemore Farm-owned Flighty Almighty, who will make her debut for trainer Christophe Clement having moved from Tom Dascombe's yard, is the most memorable of the duo given she ran in the Sandringham Handicap at Royal Ascot last summer.
A daughter of American sire Elusive Quality, Flighty Almighty was always likely to make the journey over the pond to compete in her career, but it is surprising that she has transferred stables so soon.
She remained unexposed in Britain after just six starts and although the four-year-old recorded just one victory (a Wolverhampton novice event), there seemed to be plenty more to come.
Her recent works haven't been overly good, but Flighty Almighty has a large amount of potential and she would be one I'd get stuck into if it wasn't for the fact that she tackles an even more promising shipper in Fashion's Star.
Formerly trained by Roger Charlton, Fashion's Star made a sparkling debut in September 2018 when she landed a Newbury conditions event with plenty left in the tank.
Ridden by Oisin Murphy and sent off at just 3-1 on that occasion, it was clear that Fashion's Star had been tearing up the gallops at home and she impressed with the way she cleared away from a decent-looking field. Her Racing Post Rating of 88 was good, too.
The daughter of Sea The Stars clearly had a setback after that run as she wasn't seen again until May last year, when she pulled far too hard and was beaten a fair way in behind some talented fillies at Ascot.
Owner Andrew Rosen has decided to send her out to Shug McGaughey's yard and she looks tailormade to race in the US, with fast ground set to suit perfectly as well as the fact she relishes chasing a strong pace.
McGaughey, who has a 44 per cent strike-rate (seven winners from 16 runners) at Tampa Bay this meet, has booked leading rider Antonio Gallardo and her recent works at Payson Park Training Centre have been catching the eye.
The other selection on the card is High Heater, who will go off at around 4-1 in the $17,700 claimer (9.00) for small-time trainer David Hinsley.
Set to be ridden by Tomas Mejia, High Heater is a one-time winner from ten outings and would have been favourite for this race had he not disappointed when tenth in similar company last time out.
His previous efforts in starter optional claimers were good in the context of this race and the fact Gallardo decided to ride him last time hinted that he was fancied to go close.
However, after showing some early speed High Heater retreated rather quickly and finished last of the ten-strong field.
It is hard to completely forgive him that effort as nothing seemed to go badly wrong, but on his previous showing when fourth here he would prove hard to deny.
Gallardo has decided to jump ship to the Michael Stidham-trained Dynaform, who certainly boasts a more attractive profile, but I'll take a chance on High Heater returning to something like his best.
