This round-barrelled type by Iffraaj looked just fit enough for his debut. He walked out of the stalls and found himself off the pace. Two furlongs out he began to understand what was needed, but he was never in a position to challenge.

The butty-looking Kick On Kick On looked full of himself as he walked around the paddock and after two runs he clearly knew his job because he jumped and travelled with conviction, but conceding weight to his rivals took its toll in the final furlong.

The sizeable Foxtrot Lady had made a significant step forward from her debut two weeks earlier but looked a little unbalanced at various stages.
