This race provided Frodon with his biggest handicap victory two years ago and he has twice won off much higher since. He now tries to win off the highest mark since Fifty Dollars More success off 170 in 1983.

Three former winners followed up their victories in the BetVictor Gold Cup at the November meeting when rated 149,153 and 156. Baron Alco will be the twentieth to try in the past four decades and looks sure to go close having previously twice finished runner-up over this course and distance.
