Looked set to score at Huntingdon three weeks ago but a mistake at the last hindered his chance and he was overhauled. Compensation could be on the cards.

Has form figures of 212 since joining current stable, showing clear improvement, and all those runs came at this venue (7f/1m½f). Very solid contender and may well have even more to offer.

Dark horse

Treshnish (2.55 Catterick)

Two below-par runs so far this season, but the Sue Smith-trained gelding is now 8lb below his last winning mark. The drop in trip and softer ground will suit and, with the trainer having a 37 per cent strike-rate (+£20.67) with chasers at the track over the last five seasons, he could go well.
