The top jockey on his ride at Cheltenham on Saturday
The New One
3.05 Cheltenham
He may be fast approaching his tenth birthday, but his love for the game is as strong as ever and he looks to have a proper favourite's chance.
You have to respect Melon, and My Tent Or Yours and Old Guard are in there too, but The New One loves this track and put up a really solid effort under his huge weight in the Greatwood Hurdle last time out.
The possibility of getting back to ride The New One in this race has driven me on over the last couple of weeks.
Every time I've pushed myself through a painful barrier I've thought about riding The New One in the International and everything has then seemed to make sense.
