There are just six runners in the 5f apprentice handicap (6.10) that kicks off the Placepot at Yarmouth but it looks like a trappy contest.

Speed Of Maajid was disappointing last time, but his siblings have done most of their winning in headgear, so the first-time cheekpieces could help. He goes in alongside the class-dropping Cressida Wildes.

Schrodinger's Cat has already shown a good level of form and can open his account in the 5f maiden (6.40), while Kaleido should have little difficulty in making the places in the following 7f maiden (7.10).

Court Of Session is better drawn than when a close third over this course and distance last time and should go well in the 6f handicap (7.40), while Temple Bruer has dropped to an attractive mark and is interesting in a new headgear combination.

The most likely to perform up to scratch in the 1m3½f classified stakes (8.10) is Fen Tiger, who shaped well after a break at Lingfield last time. Rolling Luck, who made late gains over a mile and a quarter last time, could appreciate the longer trip and goes in too.

Daring Legend has placed on his last four starts, including over this course and distance, and looks sure to run a good race in the closing 7f handicap (8.40).
