Windsor Placepot tips: Richard Birch delivers his perm for the £50,000 guaranteed pool

Byblos, a beaten 11-10 favourite in a 1m4f Newbury handicap last time, is likely to appreciate the easier underfoot conditions in leg four (6.00) and should prove hard to keep out of the frame.

Zoulu Warrior appeals as the likeliest winner of leg five (6.30) if he doesn’t bounce on this quick return from a Chepstow win, which came on the back of a lengthy absence.

If he doesn’t run up to the level of that win, topweight Rage Of Thunder looks the one most likely to take advantage.

The final leg (7.00) looks tricky, but On A Vespa, a winner at Ffos Las last time, and Rosemary’s Rose, the mount of Tom Marquand, have better chances than most.
