There are just four runners in the 5f novice (5.40) that kicks off the Placepot at Windsor, so we'll need to find the winner.

Trafalger made a promising stable debut for Eve Johnson Houghton last time and could be suited by dropping to the minimum trip. He has to concede 8lb all round, though, so Kinswoman, who went down narrowly at Brighton last time, goes in too.

Gwen John ran on well to take second on her debut over course and distance last time, despite being slightly hampered, and rates banker material in the following 6f novice (6.10).

Stepping back up in trip in the 1m3½f handicap (6.40) should suit The Pug, who went down narrowly over 1m2f here last time. Jimmy Mark, who drops back to the distance he won over in April, goes in too.

Cases can be made for a few in the sprint final (7.10), but Seraphim Angel, who has won both starts at this track, and the well-treated Change Sings have good early pace and make most appeal.

Jax Edge is consistent and can be relied on in the 6f fillies' handicap (7.40) that follows, while her stablemate Darkened Edge and course-and-distance winner Cabeza De Llave are the selections in the closing 5f handicap (8.10).
