They Call Me Hugo is a short price for Windsor's opener (12.40), but I'm not sure his form in defeat is any better than that of his two market rivals' wins last time, so I'll go with those two in the Placepot and hope he gets knocked out.

The other three are no great shakes anyway, so we should get one in of either Moneygarrow or Swindon Village.

You could make a case for four in the five-runner next (1.15), but I'll go with Gamesters Guy, who beat an in-form rival in a match last time, and Queensbury Boy, who looked promising when hampered at Cheltenham two starts ago and was perhaps unsuited by quick ground next time.

The third is tighter than the betting suggests (1.50) as I don't think Be Aware really wants a sharp 2m, or that he's as far ahead of the rest as the betting says. With most of Hansard's form on better ground, the picks are No Questions Asked and Alnilam.

Hollygrove Cha Cha and Bluey were first and second at Exeter last time, and I reckon they are the two to concentrate on in the fourth (2.25), while Nemean Lion, last year's winner, is going to have his perfect conditions in the fifth (3.00) and looks banker material.

The final leg (3.35) is by far the toughest, so I'll go with three. Main selection Melon is joined by Wilful, a commanding winner of a quality handicap at Ascot last time, and Spectacularsunrise, a novice who ran into a potential Supreme contender last time.
