The Tote’s £50,000 Placepot guarantee is at Southwell on Tuesday and the opening 7f maiden (4.57) is a really tricky one. Toastmaster has all-weather form and goes in alongside Haaderr.

Ed Bethell trains Haaderr and has another chance in the 7f novice (5.28) with Zarinca, who is a banker, while the 7f fillies’ handicap (6.00) looks between Whizz By and Lady Wingalong.

There are only six in the following 6f fillies’ handicap (6.30) and that makes it worth including two. After Love goes in alongside the unnamed favourite, just in case of a gamble.

Newyorkstateofmind has a good record at Southwell and might hold a class edge in the 5f handicap (7.00). However, he is in stall one, so put in the consistent Colors Of Freedom too.

The 1m6f handicap (7.30) is the final leg and last week’s course winner Universal Story is going to be difficult to beat. However, only two places are available, so also include Moab.
