Royal Ascot Placepot tips: Paul Kealy's perm for the £400,000 guaranteed pool on day one

Field Of Gold (4.20) looks the sole banker on a terrifically competitive Ascot card, but otherwise some decent coverage is needed to get a slice of the £400,000 guaranteed Placepot pool.
Rosallion is the most solid in the Queen Anne (2.30) given his 2-2 record, but I wouldn't put all my eggs in the Lockinge basket, so will add the supplemented Carl Spackler.
The Coventry (3.05) is obviously a nightmare with so many unexposed types. You can't rule anything out given a first three home at 80-1, 40-1 and 50-1 last year, but my trio are American Gulf and Postmodern from Britain and the Irish-trained Power Blue, beaten only three-quarters of a length at the Curragh by a horse who would have been hot favourite had he made the field.
Starlust is the main fancy in the King Charles III (3.40), but it's easy enough to see the case for many others, with Regional and Believing my extra picks.
I'll go with two in the first handicap (5.00) as Manxman is sure to run his usual consistent race, while Reaching High has clearly been laid out for this by Willie Mullins for a long while.
The Wolferton (5.35) is wide open on the figures, but King's Gambit has the form to win and Enfjaar, while needing to improve, was eyecatching in the Brigadier Gerard and is capable of winning at this level.
It's also World Pool day. I'll be having all sorts of swingers, exactas and trifectas in the last (6.10), taking a chance on leaving the front two out – favourite French Master because he isn't straightforward and second favourite Charlus because he'd be ten times the price if not trained by Willie Mullins.
Barnso and Fairbanks are the two I've backed, but I'll also look to include Caballo De Mar, who keeps on improving and won well after his Chester Cup second in May.
Champagne Prince, who has improved 20lb on the all-weather since his last turf run and can run off 10lb lower than his all-weather rating, is another who could prove well treated. His best turf run did come at Ascot.
The final selection would be Aeronautic, who beat the admittedly much-improved Barnso easily last summer, and warmed up for this over a totally inadequate 1m2f last month.
