Nottingham Placepot tips: Maddy Playle gives her perm for the £50,000 guaranteed pool

The Tote's £50,000 guaranteed Placepot moves on to Nottingham, where Hello It's Me does not set a high standard from those to have run in the opening 5f fillies' novice (1.28). Take her on with Godolphin's debutante Winter's Bloom. 

She has plenty to recommend her as a sister to Group 1 winner Naval Crown from the powerful Charlie Appleby stable, but as there are only two places on offer add in Birdcall. Her stable excels with juveniles.

Side with easy Ayr winner Brielle to make her class count up in trip in the 1m6f fillies' handicap (1.58), but it could also be worth including Julie Camacho's intriguing new recruit Rodoya.

It is hard to know what her French form is worth, but she was a winner over 1m4f and recorded a Racing Post Rating of 89 over 1m6f on her last run, so an opening British perch of 82 could be lenient.

The 1m½f novice (2.28) is regularly a hot affair, but this year's event is tricky. Take the form of Karl Burke and experience of High Storm and combine it with the likeable pedigree and potential of Glory Road.  

Pearl River is proven over the trip and Sea The Power has the strongest form in the 1m2f nursery (2.58), while Desperate Dan is taken to repeat last year's success in the first division of the 1m½f handicap (3.28).

The second division is perhaps the most difficult race of the day. Go with the unexposed Love Beach and the consistent course-and-distance winner Two B Tanned.
