Market Rasen Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway's selections for a £50,000 guaranteed pool

There are eight declared for the opening 2m½f maiden hurdle (12.10) and that makes it a good race for a banker. Lock Stock has the best form on offer and can be trusted for a place.

The 2m4½f maiden hurdle (12.40) is trickier, with only seven declared and two places available. Put in the two likely favourites, Kefir D’Oudairies and Moon Over America.

There'll be only two places on offer in the following 3m novice handicap chase (1.13) too, so it’s a chance to bolster the dividend by taking on likely favourite Roe and Co. Klapton Boy is one of my best bets of the day but Isle Of Sark could also run into a place.

The 2m5½f handicap chase (1.48) is another small-field event where just two places count, so include Pescatorius and I Am Rocco, while the following 2m4½f handicap hurdle (2.23) could go to Fergal O’Brien. Heart Over Head and Times A Wastin are his two, and both go in.

O’Brien looks to hold the key to the 2m7f handicap hurdle (2.58) with Queen Of Steel and she rates another banker selection, provided that all eight declared runners make the line-up.
