Kempton Placepot tips: Richard Birch with his selections for the £50,000 guaranteed pool

Bowood and King Cabo, who are both fairly handicapped on their best form, look reasonable options.

Luzon Heights is a more confident choice in leg two (4.40). The William Knight-trained colt was firmly on top at the finish over a mile at Southwell last time, and there should be more to come off a 5lb higher mark.

Spiritoftheblues made a highly pleasing winning debut at Ayr in August. The filly has scope for more improvement and should make a bold bid in leg three (5.10).

Lizzana, narrowly denied on her first run at Wolverhampton when sent off a well-backed 15-8 favourite, rates the principal threat.

Fort Rock and Interstate both represent leading Newmarket yards in leg four (5.40), and are the selections in the absence of any market clues at the time of writing.

Welljudged, a promising second at Southwell to Stellenbosch first time out, ought to have learned plenty from that experience, and only marginal improvement will make her highly competitive in leg five (6.10).

Course-and-distance winners Powdering and Shallow complete the perm in leg six (6.40).
