Hamilton Placepot tips: Tom Segal attempts to crack the £75,000 guaranteed pool

There is the potential for lots of rain at Hamilton so the ground is likely to be pretty testing and it could be worth concentrating on those who have form in soft conditions. 

King's Scholar stayed on strongly to win over course and distance last time and has strong form with give underfoot, so he looks banker material in the Sky Bet For The Fans Handicap (4.45), while Big Fun showed more than enough on his debut to suggest he can win the two-year-old maiden (3.45).

The other races are all tricky looking handicaps but Lord Roxby kept on well to win over course and distance last time and could take another step forward in the three-year-old sprint handicap (4.15). He does have to prove he handles soft ground, though, if it gets that way, and so the Improving bottom weight Tarlac goes in as well. 

Blue Day could be a class above his opposition in the Sky Bet Build A Bet Handicap (5.15) but he's another whose best form is on fast ground and so Solar Aclaim goes in as well provided she turns up after a few quick runs of late.  

Lunar Eclipse and Viennoise are bred to go well if conditions deteriorate and looks sure to fire in the fillies' handicap (5.45), while I do think Brazilian Rose will appreciate the drop back to 6f in handicap company in the Sky Bet Club Handicap (6.15). Abduction has loads of form that gives him a good chance in that race and he goes on all ground types, so he goes in the perm as well.
