Epsom Placepot picks: Paul Kealy with his perm for the £50,000 guaranteed pool

The Tote's £50,000 guarantee is at Epsom, where there ought to be a banker in the opener (5.55). There are only five runners and one is a well-bred newcomer, but Victorious One has shown so much more than the other three that he should have no problems hitting the first two again.

The second (6.30) is trickier, but locally-trained runners Tex and Buy The Dip make some appeal. The former ran well here last time and gave the impression a drop back in trip would suit, while the latter was in cracking form until being badly hampered at the start here last week.

Only four go in the next (7.00), but they all have winning chances, so they're all going in, and I'll keep the perm down by banking on Secret Beach in the fourth (7.35) as he was in good form before winning easily at York last week and is 7lb well in.

The hat-trick-seeking Crimson Spirit will be favourite for the fifth (8.05), but he made a meal of winning at long odds-on last time, and preferred are Mafnood and Brave Empire, who both ran well at the track two weeks ago.

In the last leg (8.40), Play Me didn't have the most reasonable mark when setting out handicapping, but he's getting his act together now it has dropped, while Callout looked to be getting back on track when just behind him at Brighton last time.
