Sober Glory is my main fancy for the opening Supreme (1.20) at Cheltenham, but it makes sense to put at least one of the more fancied runners in the Placepot perm.
Old Park Star is the form horse, but the talk about Mighty Park has been infectious and he did run to a really good level on his debut.
Kopek Des Bordes might end up being the best horse in the Arkle (2.00), but after just one run over fences nearly four months ago he is far from the most solid Placepot proposition.
I prefer the chances of Lulamba, and certainly wouldn't rule out Steel Ally being a player at a bigger price.
More coverage is going to be needed for the next couple of races, which are typically competitive handicaps for the festival.
Winston Junior and Madness D'Elle are the ones I like in the Fred Winter (2.40), while Manlaga's win in the Victor Ludorum was quite eyecatching.
It's very hard to leave Jagwar out of calculations for the Ultima (3.20), while Quebecois is clearly back over a more suitable trip following his qualifying run at Newbury, and Blow Your Wad can outrun his odds.
It's no great surprise that Lossiemouth is now favourite for the Champion Hurdle (4.00) as on Cheltenham form she's very much the one to beat.
She might not be an out-and-out two-miler, but you can level that at market rival The New Lion, and her best form at the trip is good enough to make the first three at least.
It might be mad to say this, but I'm not convinced the Plate (4.40) is as competitive as the numbers suggest, so I'll go with just two.
Madara was quite clearly a big eyecatcher last time and goes well at the track, while Downmexicoway had a run in a race he couldn't win to qualify, and he could leave his 2m form behind over a trip he ought to relish.
