It's trials day at Punchestown on Sunday, with the Supreme Novices' Hurdle credentials of Cilaos Emery getting a test in a hot-looking opener, and while Douvan has scared away any meaningful opposition in the Tied Cottage Chase, his mere presence will hopefully bring a few extra souls through the turnstiles.
The first betting opportunity may well arise in the P.P. Hogan Memorial Cross Country Chase (2.30). Enda Bolger suffered a small setback with the defeat of Cantlow at Cheltenham last week but he is triply represented back on home turf here.
