Keeper Hill was turned over at 4-6 on his second start last season, but he had won well first time up and he is unlikely to be lacking fitness with his trainer Warren Greatrex having sent out four winners from ten runners since the start of last month, including three of his last four.

The Westerner gelding traded hands for a handsome sum after making a winning bumper debut at Market Rasen for Ronald O'Leary around this time last year and, although well held in third on his debut for Greatrex, the ground was softer and the two who finished in front of him went into the race unbeaten.
