The Aga Khan looks to have strong chances in loads of races on day one of the Arc meeting at Chantilly, with the best of them surely Vazirabad in the Qatar Prix du Cadran (3.25).

A class above his rivals on his win over Big Orange in the Dubai Gold Cup in March, Vazirabad will win if he stays the marathon trip, but that is the big question as unlike most French staying races there is likely to be plenty of pace on, with the likes of last year’s winner Mille Et Mille, Nearly Caught and Quest For More all seemingly at their best forcing the pace.

Vazirabad might easily improve for the trip, but he is a short price and it makes sense to back something at much bigger odds against him.
