Tom Segal provides his Doncaster placepot perm for Sunday

Despite some small fields at Doncaster and short-priced favourites in the first three legs of the Placepot, there is still the potential for a decent pick-up with any number of potential winners in the last three.

The opening two juvenile maidens look destined for Significantly and Dubai Fountain, while the beautifully bred Swift Verdict showed plenty of promise on his debut and should win the following three-year-old novice.

Things get harder from then on but course winner Encore D'Or shaped really well on his comeback run on ground too quick and comes from a stable going really well

It could be worth throwing in Danzan in that race as well as he has always been a fast horse and his new trainer, Tim Easterby, has taken no time in dropping him back to the minimum trip for the first time.

The Betway Achilles Stakes (2.35) sees some of the fastest horses in training take each other on and, with the ground on the soft side, the race should be set up for Dakota Gold and the strong-travelling Tarboosh.

It's hard to get away from the classy Fifth Position in the Heed Your Hunch At Betway Handicap (3.10) as he is going to appreciate the step up to a mile and a quarter and comes from a stable that has an excellent record at Doncaster.

Derevo will have his supporters for Ryan Moore and Sir Michael Stoute but the fly in the ointment is the unexposed Sandret, who hacked up over course and distance on his only attempt at this trip.
