There aren’t many trainers who have a better record in the best sprint handicaps than Andrew Balding and this year has been no exception as he won the Stewards’ Cup with Dancing Star and had a place in the Wokingham with Absolutely So.

Three years ago he landed the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup (3.45) with Highland Colori and his Wokingham fourth Absolutely So has a great chance to follow suit despite top weight.

He was first home of those drawn on the far side in the Wokingham under a similarly hefty burden, the softer ground will play to his strengths and this is arguably a weaker race.
