Tom Collins feels McCain runners are key to attractive Bangor Placepot perm

Over the last at Bangor-on-Dee where they race today

Listed performers Roseisaroseisarose and Wynn House can get the Bangor Placepot perm off to a good start as they begin their hurdling careers in the opening 2m3½f mares' novice event (1.40). Both have gone well fresh in the past.

First-time blinkers are expected to do the trick for consistent performer Court Jurado in the following novice handicap chase (2.10), while topweight Now Children is also included for trainer Oliver Greenall.

There isn't much form to go on in division one of the 2m½f maiden hurdle (2.45), but point and bumper winner Presentandcounting picks himself. Nigel and Sam Twiston-Davies have a good record here and Guard Of Dreams is also worthy of serious consideration.

Leading trainer at the track, Donald McCain, can also plunder the second division (3.20) with course winner Chuvelo, the mount of Brian Hughes.

The penultimate leg of the Placepot perm (3.55) is the first handicap of the afternoon. It's not an easy race to dissect but I'll take one at each end of the weights, course-and-distance scorers Marble Moon and Packettotherafters.

Twin Star, who won last time out by 27 lengths, is almost banker material in the final leg (4.30), but I'll play it safe and also include the potentially well-handicapped Morning Spirit on his seasonal return.
