Tom Collins believes Enable will be right back to her best in the Coral-Eclipse
2.25 Sandown
Buy at 1.5 lengths in a match with the field
This year's running of the Coral-Eclipse looks top notch, with the front-running Ghaiyyath and race-fit Japan taking on Khalid Abdullah's wondermare Enable. It will be a terrific spectacle and certainly isn't a race to be missed.
Usually you would think that without a run under her belt Enable could prove vulnerable in what appears to be a competitive contest, but John Gosden has had most of his horses ready to go on their reappearance since the resumption of racing.
Furthermore, Enable has won on her return to action in both of the last two seasons, including in this race last year, and is taken to be primed for her reappearance en route to the end-of-season target in the Arc.
This is likely to be her last year before being sent to the paddocks and it would be a surprise if she didn't go out all guns blazing.
Providing they don't give Ghaiyyath an easy uncontested lead, I can't imagine him holding off Enable in the final couple of furlongs and hopefully she will draw clear of her chief market rivals to win by a margin at the line.
She is rated 2lb higher than any horse in the field, gets a 3lb mares' allowance from Japan and Ghaiyyath and will be stronger than any of her rivals in the closing stages.
Japan, who may not have been ready to rumble in the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot on his return to action, is the main danger.
