Tom Collins analyses the credentials of three favourites in the US

Go Jo Jo Go
6.34 Gulfstream Park
SP forecast 2-1

January foal who could well prove to be the most precocious in this field of seven newcomers. Son of Khozan, who won both his career starts for Todd Pletcher, but is bred to be better over a mile rather than this 4½f trip. Works have been consistent if not spectacular and drawn wide.

Conclusion Trainer Michael Yates is just 1-27 (3 per cent strike-rate) with debutante fillies on the dirt since the start of 2016. Take her on at the prices.

Tiger's Back
7.39 Gulfstream Park
SP forecast 2-1

A $370,000 purchase in 2018, Tiger's Back has failed to justify that pricetag on the track with three defeats at this venue. Hasn't featured on any occasion and although he has tackled some decent, young prospects, he needs more to win this.

Conclusion Bred to be a lot better than anything in this field but one to avoid until he shows more.

Fresco
8.43 Gulfstream Park
SP forecast 2-1

European-bred filly, Fresco broke smartly on her debut over this course and distance but was shuffled back down the backstraight and lost valuable racing position. She showed a nice change of gear to get out of trouble, though, and finished best of the rest behind a couple of rivals who got the jump.

Conclusion The one to beat with Irad Ortiz booked to ride.
