The Punt nap

Rock N Roll Pinkie (2.40 York)

Has dropped to a mark 3lb lower than when winning this race last year and could return to form at a track she likes with Silvestre de Sousa back on board.

Handicappers' nap

Empirestateofmind (5.00 York)

Hard to fancy on recent form but the blinkers return for the first time since May, when this gelding was running off a 13lb higher mark. Fully 15lb lower than when a decent fourth at Ripon in April, the last time he had ground softer than good, this course-and-distance winner could outrun likely big odds.

Eyecatcher

Izuba (1.30 York)

The Andrew Balding-trained colt ran a promising race on his debut at Ascot in July and should appreciate the step up to 7f.

Speed figures

Double Rush (3.50 York)

Clocked good speed figures in all three of his wins at the start of the season before disappointing in the July Cup last time. He's in calmer waters and can bounce back.
