The Punt nap

Newfangled (8.00 Wolverhampton)

Has dropped 2lb below his last winning mark despite running okay on turf since recording his third victory at Wolverhampton in April and is a big player from a good draw in stall one now back on synthetics.

Handicappers' nap

Rajendra (7.00 Wolverhampton)

The return to the all-weather looks an interesting angle for this gelding, with his dam and all three siblings at their bests on an artificial surface. Well treated on his standout run at Southwell in January, his mark has come down a stone in three turf runs since handicapping.

Eyecatcher

Washington Heir (5.15 Windsor)

Has enjoyed a good season and has arguably been unfortunate not to have added to June's Brighton success in his last two starts.

Speed figures

Raaheeb (4.15 Windsor)

The class act on show today and if he gets anywhere near the speed figure he clocked when fourth in the Irish Derby then he should win this Group 3 contest.
